Before-School Programs

Our Before-School Reading and Math Programs have begun.  In reading, students work on the Lexia Reading Core5 program.  In math, students work on a variety of activities including Math in Focus games, Kahn Academy, and computer games which reinforce fact fluency and critical thinking skills in a fun way.

Kudos to the kids who get up early to come to these programs!

Please note that the Before-School Program will be cancelled on mornings with a delayed opening.  Also, there will be no classes on the following days due to faculty meetings.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back!  We hope you have enjoyed your summer vacation.

We are currently working on forming our Title 1 reading and math groups for the new school year.  Title 1 students are chosen using a number of criteria including standardized test scores, classroom performance, and teacher input.  Title 1 tutors typically see children in small groups either in their classrooms or in the Title 1 classroom for a ½ hour, five days per week.  Our goal is to give struggling students targeted instruction in their area of need so that they will become more confident and successful with their academics.  If your child is chosen to participate in the Title 1 program, you will receive a packet which outlines the program along with a permission slip within the next couple of weeks.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Minervini or Miss Lange at 485-9890 ext.1021, or email us at cminervini@su15.net or clange@sau15.net.
